Laun Park is a new park in Mobile, Alabama, that opened on March 15, 2019. The park is located on the west side of Mobile, near the intersection of Spring Hill Avenue and Dauphin Street. Laun Park is named after John Laun, a member of the Mobile City Council from 1892 to 1896. The park has a playground, picnic tables, and a walking trail. Playworld Systems make the playground equipment. UltraSite makes the picnic tables. American Trails make the walking trail. Laun Park was funded by the city of Mobile and private donations. The total cost of the project was $500,000. Laun Park is a great place to take your kids to play or have a picnic lunch with family and friends. The playground equipment is top-of-the-line, and the picnic tables are very sturdy.
