The park is home to several beautiful and historic landmarks, including the Stotts House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was built in 1853 by John Stotts, a prominent Mobile businessman, and philanthropist. The house is a two-story Greek Revival-style building with a portico supported by four columns. The house is currently owned by the City of Mobile and is used as a museum and event venue. The park also contains a monument to Confederate General Robert E. Lee. The monument was erected in 1887 by the Ladies Memorial Association of Mobile. The monument consists of a bronze statue of General Lee mounted on a granite base. Italian artist Giovanni Vitaloni sculpted the statue. The monument is located in the park’s center and is surrounded by a wrought iron fence.
